BATTLE AT THE ARMORY

August 3rd, 2000. East River Hardcore Wrestling ran one show at the armory on a Thursday night, and by all accounts about thirty people were there.

The main event was Mason Slade against Johnny Riot in a Razor Blade & Flames Match. The advertised prize was a hotdog and a handshake. Five more matches underneath it, none of them sanctioned by anyone, one of them literally billed as unsanctioned. Doors at seven, bell at eight, eight dollars, all ages.

No photos or footage exists from this event. The flyer is the only thing that survived, and it survived because someone stapled it to a telephone pole and someone else took it down two months after it took place.

Whatever happened in that building, the card warned us in advance and charged eight dollars for it.

THE SHIRT

Printed on a Shaka Wear Max Heavyweight — 7.5 oz, 100% USA cotton, 16 singles. This is the blank that built 90s streetwear: boxy, structured, with a slight drop shoulder and a stretch-proof collar that holds its shape. It has weight to it. You will notice the difference the first time you pick it up.

FIT

Oversized and relaxed by design. Take your usual size for the intended roomy fit, or size down if you want it closer to the body.

CARE

Cold wash, inside out. Tumble dry low or hang. Do not iron the print.

NOTE ON COLORS

Black is 100% cotton. Heather Grey is a 90/10 cotton-poly blend and Charcoal Grey is 50/50, so the print sits slightly differently on those.
